This mural holds a special significance, as we had the honor of painting it in memory of the late Takeoff. The owner of Smoke Factory wanted to surprise his good friend and long-term customer, Quavo, with this heartfelt tribute. It was a privilege to create this piece, not only to honor Takeoff’s legacy but also to celebrate the deep bond between Quavo and the Smoke Factory family. The quote in the mural, "Do this sh*t for the Fam because it’s bigger than me," resonates with that sense of loyalty and family, making this artwork an emotional and lasting tribute.

I remember being a freshman in college, listening to their first hits, and witnessing the rise of Migos as they took over the music scene. Those early songs were a big part of my college experience, so being able to contribute to this tribute, years later, made the project deeply personal. It felt like things had come full circle, and working on this mural was not just a professional opportunity but also a moment of reflection on how much their music had influenced me and many others over the years.
